Teachers will be teachers, no matter what.

When I was a child, I always dreamed about being a writer and a painter. As I was growing up, being a teenager, these dreams transformed into being a journalist. However, my passion towards sports and physical activities, made me rethink my future and I became a Primary Physical Education teacher.

I worked as an interim PE teacher for four academic years before I decided to move to the United States. I was 26 and I always had a curiosity towards language considering that I was bilingual myself, having Castilian Spanish as a vehicular language and Valencian Catalan as a family language. Poetry of life, I moved to Austin (Texas) for two years and I completed 4 different English intensive courses, which drove me directly to fill in my university application to pursue a Master's Degree in Bilingual Education. In order to complete my Master's Degree, I moved to Gainesville (Florida) where I also worked as a Day Care assistant teacher, an after-school activity leader, a Spanish after-school teacher, a lifeguard, and  even a swimming instructor. After passing all my teacher certification exams, I got a job as a Bilingual Teacher in a Two-Way Immersion Program within the Palm Beach County Educational District, specifically in the area/district of Greenacres. Therefore, I moved again and I established myself for two more years in West Palm Beach (Florida).

After six years broadening my teaching knowledge and experience abroad, I came back to my home city with the surprise of being kicked out of the public school system. (Unfortunately, in my country politics weight more than education). Thanks to that, I have had the opportunity to work for both, private and charter schools, while I was -again- preparing for my Public Examination of the Teacher Corps. Last July, I finally passed the exams and I became -again- an interim teacher for my autonomous community (Valencian Community), this time for the English as a Foreign Language area. Today, I renounced at the charter school where I was working for two years because I TRULY believe in Public Education. Next Monday I will be starting a new chapter in my life, so being a teacher is not that further away from being the writer I wanted to be...
